Anna Murray
Singer on stage in Valenciennes (F)

Anna was raised in Lewis with Gaelic as her first language. For the last fifteen years she has been working in theatre and television as well as recording three solo albums and appearing on many other albums as both a singer and renowned piper.
Music - Extensive recording and performing including:
Three solo albums released through KRL called: Out of the Blue; Into Indigo; Tri Nithean
Further albums: The Days Flash Past by An Lanntair; Scottish Women by Greentrax; Gaelic Women by Greentrax and various other compilation albums.

Musical director for Traverse theatre's productions of Lazybed by Iain Crichton Smith and Homers by Iain Finlay Macleod

Recent performances:
Support to Van Morrison at Hebridean Celtic Festival; Various performances at Celtic Connections including Scottish Women show and Tachem; Various appearances at An Lanntair Arts Centre Stornoway;
Song Festival in Connemara; An Leabhar Mor exhibition openings in Stornoway and Eire. Tours of Germany, America and Russia.

Current projects:
"Tachem" - and all female piping group
"Blas" - an acapella Gaelic vocal group
