Mathias Haus
Percussion

Born in 1963, Mathias Haus studied classical percussion in Düsseldorf and Jazzvibraphone in Boston with Gary Burton.
He graduated in Jazzkomp/arr.
Lecturer at the College in Cologne, Department of Wuppertal.

He has created numerous projects , such as ("HAUS", Mathias Haus Projekt, Duos mit Philipp v. Endert and Vladislav Sendetzki, Düsseldorf Percussion, Carnegie society), performed in Germany and abroad (Montreux Jazzfestival, Rheingau Musikfestival, Tschaikowski- Saal Moskau, Leverkusener Jazztage, Oleg Kgan Musikfest/Schirmherr Claudio Abbado, Schumannfest Düsseldorf) and recorded CDs (e.g. critics choice April 2002).

He has composed extensively and has had several educational publications. (NMZ, fermate and others) He was also guest musician on various CDs (Klaus König, Jörg Kaufmann, Willy Ketzer,) as well as guest soloist of WDR, SWR and HR Bigband. He received the John Dankworth award, Gary Burton award, Claudio Puntin, Peter Weniger, Uri Caine.

In 2002 the concert agency Heinersdorff dedicated a five parts concert series to him.
