Mari Terada
Pianist

Education
1985 - 1991 College of Music, Essen (Folkwang Hochschule) with Professor Catherine Vickers. Diploma/ Artistic Exam with the final result "very good".
1991 - 1992 Mari Terada continues to study for the concert exam in Essen. During this time she is also a privat student of Professor Klaus Schilde in Munich.
1992 - 1995 Move to Paris. She completes the "classe de perfectionnement" with Professor Germaine Mounier at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Alfred Cortot.

1976 Third Place at the "Southwestern Youth Music Festival" (SYMF), USA
1976 Bronze Medal "Recording Competition", USA
1977 Silver Medal "Recording Competition", USA
1977 Third Place at the "Southern California Bach Festival", USA
1988 Finalist at the "Chopin Competition" in Cologne, Germany
1991 Concert scholarship of the "Deutsch- Japanischer Musikförderkreis"
1994 Awarded with the "Debussy- Preis"/Diploma, "Concours Internationale Albert Roussel", Bulgaria
1994 Academy concert at the summer academy "Mozarteum" in Salzburg, Austria
1996 Scholarship and Honourable Diploma for chamber music of the "Academia Musicale de Chigiana", Italy
1997 Radio recording/Studio concert instructed by the NHK, FM Rezital (National broadcaster Japan)
1998 CD- Recording with violinist Junko Chiba for Camerata Tokyo
1998 Chosen as one of the three future dominating pianists by the music journal "Ongaku No Tomo"
2004 Solo CD parts with works of R. Schumann for Aurora Classicals
2006 Solo CD parts with works of Debussy for Aurora Classical. The new Debussy album was found as excellent by music journals "Records Geijutsu" and "Chopin". Mari Terada was invited for a Mozart piano concert by the Vietnamese National Symphony Orchestra.
