Diploma of the Superior Commercial School of Lyons (Administrative and Financial studies) and the Institute of Cinematographic Studies at the University of Paris IV.
Cinema and Television director and Production Director (notably at the National Audio-Visual Institue at Bry sur Marne, France).
Has directed around fifteen documentaries often in extreme conditions (in France, the Sahara, Black Africa, Mongolia, in the Guyana jungle, Brazil etc...) around ten TV fiction films and numerous programmes for France 2 and France 3.
Former assistant of Jean Rouch, one of the most distinguished founders of ethnographic cinema, he is also the director and cineast associated with the work of the Committee of Ethnographic Films both in Paris and Niger. He is also an author and scriptwriter.
Director of exceptional events, he covered, amongst other things the Winter Olympic Games in Albertville and numerous other operations of the kind, linked to international Hertziennes transmissions or by satellite.
